If you'd like to return to read the full desription of the Fashion Incubator Program click here to be taken to the registration page: Program Description: The Fashion Incubator Program is designed to prepare participants for the future in fashion design. This program provides participants the opportunity to gain the foundational skills and sensibilities needed to pursue a fashion education that is in solid and enjoyable. In the Fashion Incubator Program participants can gain the strong foundation in sewing and draping that will enable them to make their own clothes and even begin their first collection pieces. The Fashion Incubator Program’s Elements of Fashion Design in combination with Fashion Illustration will provide participants with the opportunity to develop the sensibilities they need to successfully know where and how to look for inspirations for creating a collection as well as to sketch and illustrate that collection. In addition to the Fashion Incubator Program’s workshops additional optional workshops are available such as the Fashion Trend Forecasting Workshop Series to build upon the solid foundation the Fashion Incubator Program provides for lifelong learning and growth in fashion design. FASHION INCUBATOR PROGRAM CALENDAR: The Fashion Incubator Program consists of two modules of 15 weeks each. The first Fashion Incubator Program module is scheduled to begin on September 14th.2010 and continues until 21stDecember. 2010. The second Fashion Incubator Program module is scheduled to start on January 11th 2011and concludes on May 5th 2011. A traditional calendar of holidays is observed through the program including Spring Break which begins on February 15th and ends on 19th and a one week Easter Week break. ADMISSION: An application for admissions to the Fashion Incubator Program is available online and can be accessed through the member section of the World Fashion Council website (www.worldfashioncouncil.org). Association members seeking admissions are asked to complete the online application, provide additional supporting documents (specifically, examples of past work, and where relevant school records and/or a letter of recommendation). The final step of the application process is a one-on-one interview. All admissions decisions are only made after completion of the online application, supplying of the materials listed above and the completion of the interview. FEES: The tuition for each term of the incubator program is $6750. Additional material, books or supplies expenses will be the participant’s responsibility. REFUND POLICY: A full tuition refund is available prior to the end of the first week of the Fashion Incubator Program. After the first week of the Fashion Incubator Program is concluded tuition is nonrefundable.
